The Economic Development Council for Okaloosa County, Florida is a non-profit, public-private partnership serving Okaloosa County as its primary economic development organization committed to continual growth and diversification through existing industry retention and expansion, workforce development and expansion of key industry clusters.
We work with start-up, expanding and relocating businesses to help them with site location, financing incentive program applications, and business community awareness.
Our efforts are focused on facilitating employment opportunities in 3 main areas:
Existing Industry Diversification, Retention & Expansion
Development of a technically skilled and available workforce
Recruitment of targeted industries
Our responsibilities include:
Attracting new business and industry to create jobs and investment
Working with existing business to expand and solve problems
Partnering with community leaders to provide a business friendly environment
