New firm joins EDC Innovation Center

National Energy, a new energy sustainability and consulting
firm started by Robau and several other Air Force retirees,
is the latest business to be accepted at the Okaloosa County
Economic Development Council’s Innovation Center. The center
is a business incubator designed to help new firms survive
and thrive in their first few years.

A new study arranged by the Okaloosa County Economic
Development Council could help attract new retail stores,
restaurants and other service-sector businesses to the area.

The Okaloosa County Economic Development
Council hosted a roundtable symposium to discuss the
economic impact the tourism industry has on the area and
ways to attract more visitors. Nearly 150 people attended
the session, which was the first EDC program dedicated
specifically to tourism and the arts.
