The EDC and its DSI oppose any activity in the Gulf of Mexico that would negatively impact the military test and training of local installations.

Okaloosa County supports three military installations, Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, and Duke Field, collectively on the largest base in the world; Eglin Air Force Base.  These three installations are know as the Eglin Complex.
