Beach Safety

As a coastal community, the weather affects the waters of our beautiful sugar-white beaches.  As such, the State of Florida together with federal organizations developed a flag warning system.  Information/warning flags are posted at public beaches reflecting the current tidal conditions.  For your enjoyment, and safety, please observe the warning flags flown at beaches.  The absence of a flag does not mean waters are safe.
