TeCMEN Industry Day

The 2018 TeCMEN Industry Day took place on August 23, 2018. The annual event spotlights the diverse capabilities that exist among the area’s technical businesses and is structured to include a speaker symposium, informational workshops and a technical showcase featuring local, regional and national companies involved in manufacturing, engineering and technology – along with select workforce development, training and educational entities. The 2018 event sold out with 44 exhibitors and over 315 attendees. The speaker line up for the symposium included speakers and panelists from companies such as the US Federal Reserve Bank, Triumph Gulf Coast, Fort Walton Machining, Raytheon, InDyne, Reliance, Test, and Technology, General Dynamics, GE Onshore Renewables, Beast Code LLC, Precision Measurement Inc., Avalex Technologies and Mine Survival Inc. This year’s event offered concurrent workshop sessions such as: Understanding Changes in the Federal Tax Code; Exporting 101; Connecting to Tomorrow’s Workforce through Internships & Apprenticeships; and Changes in Federal Contracting.
